Nevada High School Basketball - Pyramid Lake holds off Sierra Lutheran

February 8, 2019: Nixon, NV 89424

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV) and the visiting Sierra Lutheran Falcons (Carson City, NV), saw Pyramid Lake's basketball squad hold off Sierra Lutheran by a tally of 26-22.

With the victory, Pyramid Lake improves its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Lakers host Whittell (Zephyr Cove, NV) to confront the Warriors in a 1A West challenge on Saturday, February 9. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Whittell won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Excel Christian (Sparks, NV)

Next up, the Falcons confront the Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV) in a 1A West challenge, on Tuesday, February 12. Sierra Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 3-16 season record. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 49-14 league loss to Virginia City (Virginia City, NV).
