The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ) and the visiting Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ), saw Liberty's volleyball squad nip Desert Vista by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 1-5 on the year. The Lions host Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 12. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Brophy College Prep won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Sunnyslope (Phoenix, AZ)

The Thunder now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Perry for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 19. Desert Vista will play a Pumas squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Mesa (Mesa, AZ). The Pumas record now stands at 7-3.
