Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) and the host Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT), witnessed Fitch's basketball squad tip Ledyard by a margin of 46-43.

The Falcons (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Wildcats go into the Eastern Connecticut - Large test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Norwich Free Academy got by Waterford (Waterford, CT), 54-25, in a league test.

The Colonels now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheeler for a non-league test on Saturday, January 9. Ledyard will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 49-43 league loss to Griswold (Griswold, CT). The Lions record now stands at 0-6.
