The El Dorado Aztecs basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Parkland Matadors to 35 in the Aztecs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Aztecs now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ysleta for a 5A Region I District 2 contest on Friday, January 11.

The Matadors (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Eastwood (El Paso, TX). The Troopers enter the 5A Region I District 2 contest with a 15-4 record. In their last contest, Eastwood triumphed over Riverside (El Paso, TX), 48-27, in a league contest.
