The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Casteel Colts (Queen Creek, AZ) and the host Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ), saw Casteel's softball squad nip Higley by a count of 6-2.

The Colts now sport a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain Pointe for a 5A San Tan match on Thursday, April 13. Casteel will face a Pride squad coming off a 20-8 non-league loss to Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ). The Pride record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Higley falls to 18-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Thursday, April 13. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 17-6. Cactus Shadows lost 6-0 in their recent league match against Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ)
