New Mexico High School Basketball - Penasco crushes Coronado
January 25, 2020: Penasco, NM 87553 Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM), 61-22 in a league bout.
With the victory, Penasco upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pecos (Pecos, NM) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Monday, January 27. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 15-3. Pecos won 62-23 in their recent non-league match against McCurdy (Espanola, NM)
With the defeat, Coronado moves to 7-8 on the year. The Leopards host Mora (Mora, NM) to meet the Rangers/Rangerettes in a 2A District 5 match on Thursday, January 30. The Rangers/Rangerettes enter the match with a record of 3-12. Mora lost 55-45 in their recent league match against Questa (Questa, NM)
