Gladstone Braves (Gladstone, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gwinn Modeltowners (Gwinn, MI), 55-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gladstone upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Braves travel to Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI) to clash with the Hematites in a non-league bout on Monday, February 18. The Hematites go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Ishpeming lost 53-47 in their recent non-league bout against Escanaba (Escanaba, MI)

Next up, the Modeltowners clash with the Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula bout, on Saturday, February 16. Gwinn will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Emeralds go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 55-33 league loss to Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI).
