California High School Basketball - Monte Vista overwhelms Granite Hills
February 5, 2019: El Cajon, CA 92019 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) and the host Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA), saw Monte Vista's basketball squad wallop Granite Hills by a tally of 59-14.
With the victory, Monte Vista improves its record to 14-12 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA) to confront the Cougars in a Grossmont - Valley challenge on Friday, February 8. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 12-10. Steele Canyon won 48-36 in their recent league challenge against El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) in a Grossmont - Valley challenge, on Friday, February 8. Granite Hills will attempt to improve on its 1-20 season record. The Sultans come into the challenge with a 12-14 record after their 46-30 league win over Valhalla (El Cajon, CA).
