Mississippi High School Basketball - Petal overwhelms West Jones

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) and the host West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS), saw Petal's basketball squad wallop West Jones by a tally of 68-38.

With the victory, Petal improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Jackson Academy lost 57-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. West Jones will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 77-48 non-league loss to Meridian (Meridian, MS).
