In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Simon Kenton Pioneers basketball team scored a close 48-45 triumph over the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts.

The Pioneers (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Gallatin County (Warsaw, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Gallatin County was tipped by Henry County (New Castle, KY), 57-55, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Juggernauts confront the Holy Cross Indians (Covington, KY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 23. Lloyd Memorial will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 7-4 record after their 50-41 league loss to Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY).
