The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Tipton Blue Devils (Tipton, IN) and the host Eastern Comets (Greentown, IN), saw Tipton's volleyball squad beat Eastern by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Tipton upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Mississinewa (Gas City, IN) to encounter the Indians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 22. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next, the Comets encounter the Bluffton Tigers (Bluffton, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 22. Eastern will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Wabash (Wabash, IN).
