Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans (Gilbert, AZ) and the host Fort Thomas Apaches (Fort Thomas, AZ), saw Leading Edge Academy - GEC's basketball squad overcome Fort Thomas by a tally of 57-43.

With the victory, Leading Edge Academy - GEC improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Lincoln Prep (Chandler, AZ) to confront the Lightning in a 1A Maricopa challenge on Tuesday, February 2. The Lightning come into the challenge with a record of 2-2.
