Texas High School Basketball - Rider can't hold off Texas
December 29, 2018: Texarkana, TX 75503 The Texas Tigers basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Rider Raiders to 64 in the Tigers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pleasant Grove for a non-league contest on Friday, January 4. Texas will battle a Hawks team coming off a 91-80 non-league loss to Charleston (Charleston, AR). The Hawks record now stands at 5-7.
The Raiders (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sherman (Sherman, TX). The Bearcats come into the non-league contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Sherman was nudged by Royse City (Royse City, TX), 68-47, in a non-league contest.
