Ohio High School Basketball - New Philadelphia holds off Marlington
February 1, 2025: Alliance, OH 44601 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting New Philadelphia Quakers basketball team scored a close 59-54 triumph over the Marlington Dukes.
The Quakers (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against West Branch (Beloit, OH). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, West Branch was tipped by Canfield (Canfield, OH), 35-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Dukes confront the Tallmadge Blue Devils (Tallmadge, OH) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. Marlington will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Blue Devils go into the contest with a 13-6 record after their 59-38 league win over Barberton (Barberton, OH).
