New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia nips Los Lunas

Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM), 49-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sandia upgrades its record to 26-5 on the season. The Matadors travel to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 11. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 28-1. Volcano Vista won 48-46 in their recent non-league bout against Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM)
