The Economedes Jaguars basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Mercedes Tigers to 48 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Jaguars now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Laredo LBJ for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 12. Economedes will meet a Wolves team coming off a 61-55 non-league loss to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 9-4.

The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Rivera (Brownsville, TX). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Rivera was nudged by McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX), 57-41, in a non-league contest.
