The North Buncombe Black Hawks basketball team (Weaverville, NC), dropped 90-77 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC)

The Mountaineers now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Henderson for a Western Mountain Athletic 3A battle on Tuesday, January 7. Tuscola will battle a Falcons team coming off a 60-56 league loss to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 2-5.

The Black Hawks (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Rockets come into the Western Mountain Athletic 3A battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, A.C. Reynolds prevailed over Asheville (Asheville, NC), 69-64, in a league battle.
