Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the DSST: Byers Falcons (Denver, CO) and the visiting Coal Ridge Titans (New Castle, CO), saw DSST: Byers's basketball squad hold off Coal Ridge by a tally of 62-55.

With the victory, DSST: Byers improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Roaring Fork (Carbondale, CO) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 7. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Roaring Fork lost 50-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Lutheran (Parker, CO)
