New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Blue River Valley Vikings (Mt. Summit, IN), 88-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, New Castle upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Trojans host New Palestine (New Palestine, IN) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 1-0. New Palestine won 57-55 in their recent non-league bout against Jennings County (North Vernon, IN)

The Vikings now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shenandoah for a non-league test on Saturday, November 26. Blue River Valley will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 56-35 non-league win over Daleville (Daleville, IN). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
