The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) and the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), witnessed North Lincoln's baseball team knock off Smoky Mountain by a count of 7-2.

The Knights now own a 16-8 record. They take the field next when they host North Iredell for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 9. North Lincoln will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 20-3.

With the defeat, Smoky Mountain drops to 13-11 on the year.
