In Thursday's non-league test, the Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) basketball squad trounced the host John Paul II Guardians (New Braunfels, TX), by a score of 80-41.

Next, the Dragons encounter the MacArthur Brahmas (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 test, on Tuesday, December 10. Southwest will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Brahmas come into the test with a 2-10 record after their 83-34 non-league loss to Churchill (San Antonio, TX).
