In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ) baseball squad edged the visiting Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), by a final score of 3-2.

With the win, Corona del Sol upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Aztecs host Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ) to battle the Wildcats in a I Section 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 31. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Mesquite won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ)

With the defeat, Chaparral falls to 10-6 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ) to battle the Mountain Lions in a I Section 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 31. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a record of 6-10. Red Mountain won 14-4 in their recent league challenge against Mesa (Mesa, AZ)
