Illinois High School Basketball - Effingham overwhelms Danville
December 27, 2018: Danville, IL 61832 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Effingham Flaming Hearts (Effingham, IL) and the host Danville Vikings (Danville, IL), saw Effingham's basketball squad wallop Danville by a tally of 65-35.
With the victory, Effingham improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Flaming Hearts travel to Paris (Paris, IL) to confront the Tigers in a Little Illini challenge on Thursday, December 27. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Paris won 55-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Rochester (Rochester, IL)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 28. Danville will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 63-54 non-league loss to Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland (Kansas, IL).
