The Deer Valley Skyhawks basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Cortez Colts to 10 in the Skyhawks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Skyhawks now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington for a non-league contest on Friday, December 13. Deer Valley will meet a Rams team coming off a 36-33 non-league win over Mingus (Cottonwood, AZ). The Rams record now stands at 1-5.

The Colts (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Moon Valley (Phoenix, AZ). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Moon Valley was routed by Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ), 45-31, in a non-league contest.
