Pennsylvania High School Football - Haverford School felled by William Penn Charter
October 20, 2018: Philadelphia, PA 19144 In Saturday's league game, the William Penn Charter Quakers (Philadelphia, PA) football team were victorious over the visiting Haverford School Fords (Haverford, PA), by a score of 41-14.
The Quakers (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (Philadelphia, PA). The Blue Devils come into the Inter-Academic game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy was knocked off by Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA), 23-14, in a league game.
The Fords now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Malvern Prep for a Inter-Academic game on Saturday, October 27. Haverford School will battle a Friars team coming off a 24-7 league win over Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, PA). The Friars record now stands at 8-0.
