The Shade Panthers (Cairnbrook, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA), 49-34 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Panthers (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA). The Bluejays go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Conemaugh Valley notched a victory over Rockwood (Rockwood, PA), 45-39, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Conemaugh Valley for a Western Pennsylvania - Northern test on Thursday, January 2.
