Indiana High School Basketball - Monroe Central holds off Salem
December 29, 2018: Salem, IN 47167 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) and the host Salem Lions (Salem, IN), saw Monroe Central's basketball squad hold off Salem by a tally of 42-35.
With the victory, Monroe Central improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Golden Bears travel to Frankton (Frankton, IN) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 14. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-8.
Next up, the Lions confront the Mitchell Bluejackets (Mitchell, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 3. Salem will attempt to improve on its 13-2 season record. The Bluejackets come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 60-38 non-league loss to Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN).
