The Highland Hawks basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Red Mountain Mountain Lions to 52 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hawks now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Queen Creek for a 6A Central contest on Friday, January 12. Highland will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 77-61 league win over Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-7.

The Mountain Lions (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Dobson (Mesa, AZ). The Mustangs enter the 6A East Valley contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Dobson was nudged by Highland (Gilbert, AZ), 58-53, in a non-league contest.
