First Quarter
A tale of three runs in the first quarter. Wasatch Academy opened with two straight baskets, then Pace Academy scored the next eight points. Wasatch responded with eight straight points of their own before the quarter ended at 13-12.
Second Quarter
The teams traded baskets throughout the quarter. Sophomore phenom of Pace Academy, Wendell Carter, left his mark with multiple dunks. One of those, a hammer dunk on a rebound, was the highlight of the game.
Third Quarter
Both teams came out aggressive, and the ball moved quickly from end to end.
Fourth Quarter
Gritty defense and endless hustle by Wasatch Academy started to wear down the Knights, who only scored nine points in the final quarter. After Wasatch Academy grabbed a one-point lead with two minutes left, the Tigers went into a stall and frustrated the Knights. Even after they forced a turnover with just under a minute, Pace Academy couldn't covert on the offensive end. Cody John finished a great night with final slashing drive to the basket that pushed the lead to the final score of 61-58.
