In Wednesday's league contest, the host Charleston Math & Science Riptide basketball team scored a good 45-37 win over the Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix.

The Riptide (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Branchville (Branchville, SC). The Yellow Jackets come into the A Region 5 contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Branchville was topped by Baptist Hill (Hollywood, SC), 55-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Phoenix battle the Military Magnet Academy Eagles (North Charleston, SC) in a A Region 5 contest, on Friday, February 7. Palmetto Scholars Academy will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record.
