Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), 71-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ben L. Smith upgrades its record to 23-2 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 23. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 16-7. Northwest Cabarrus won 54-36 in their recent non-league bout against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC)
