The Bastrop Bears basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Travis Rebels to 56 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crockett for a non-league contest on Monday, December 10. Bastrop will meet a Cougars team coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 2-8.

The Rebels (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Boerne (Boerne, TX). The Greyhounds enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Boerne was outscored by Harlan (San Antonio, TX), 51-42, in a non-league contest.
