The Ripley Vikings nipped the host South Charleston Black Eagles softball squad by a final score of 11-10 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Vikings (15-6) will now prepare for their battle against St. Albans (St. Albans, WV). The Red Dragons go into the Mountain State battle with a 16-4 record.

The Black Eagles now possess a 9-17 record. They play next when they travel to Huntington for a Mountain State battle on Saturday, April 20.
