In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team scored a good 97-89 triumph over the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the Rocky Mount Preparatory Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC) in a Tar Roanoke 1A match, on Friday, December 14. Northwest Halifax will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Jaguars enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 74-68 non-league loss to Wilson Prep Academy (Wilson, NC).
