The Independence Patriots basketball squad (Coal City, WV), was crushed 62-40 in Saturday's league battle with the host Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV)

With the victory, Greenbrier East advances its record to 17-1 on the year. The Spartans host Logan (Logan, WV) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 15. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 14-5. Logan won 56-51 in their recent non-league battle against Doddridge County (West Union, WV)
