Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL) and the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), saw Marquette Catholic's basketball squad hold off Metro-East Lutheran by a score of 47-45.

With the victory, Marquette Catholic improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Explorers travel to West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (Winchester, IL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28.
