Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) and the visiting East Forsyth Eagles (Kernersville, NC), witnessed McDowell's softball squad tip East Forsyth by a count of 9-7.

The Titans now sport a 16-8 record. They play next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league match on Saturday, May 12. McDowell will face a Spartans squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 23-2.

With the loss, East Forsyth moves to 13-9 on the season.
