Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) and the visiting Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH), saw Vinton County's basketball squad hold off Athens by a count of 58-55.

With the victory, Vinton County upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Wellston (Wellston, OH) to play the Golden Rockets in a Tri-Valley I challenge on Friday, February 15. The Golden Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Wellston won 65-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson (Jackson, OH)
