Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host American Leadership Academy - Ironwood Warriors (Ironwood, AZ), 71-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Corona del Sol upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Cholla (Tucson, AZ) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 23. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Cholla won 87-73 in their recent non-league bout against Marana (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Warriors play the American Leadership Academy - West Foothills Guardians (Waddell, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. American Leadership Academy - Ironwood will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Guardians come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 57-45 league win over River Valley (Mohave Valley, AZ).
