In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Lincoln Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) basketball squad felled the visiting Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA), by a margin of 44-33.

The Wolverine (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Freedom Area (Freedom, PA). The Bulldogs go into the WPIAL 3A 1 outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Freedom Area was beaten by Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA), 68-47, in a league outing.
