Casa Grande Cougars (Casa Grande, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), 4-3 in a league test.

With the win, Casa Grande upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Cougars host Fairfax (Laveen, AZ) to battle the Stampede in a non-league test on Friday, April 7. The Stampede come into the test with a record of 9-6. Fairfax won 5-3 in their recent league test against McClintock (Tempe, AZ)

With the defeat, Mountain Pointe falls to 12-7 on the season. The Pride travel to Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ) to battle the Cougars in a 5A San Tan test on Tuesday, April 11. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 6-8.
