Sunnyside Wildcats (Fresno, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA), 65-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Sunnyside upgrades its record to 13-13 on the season. The Wildcats host Fresno (Fresno, CA) to play the Warriors in a North Yosemite bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 18-7.

Next up, the Highlanders play the Reedley Pirates (Reedley, CA) in a North Yosemite bout, on Wednesday, February 8. McLane will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 2-22 record after their 82-42 league loss to Roosevelt (Fresno, CA).
