In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Polk County Slammers (Stromsburg, NE) softball squad tipped the visiting St. Paul Wildcats (St. Paul, NE), by a tally of 4-3.

The Slammers now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boone Central/Newman Grove for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 5. Polk County will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 10-7 non-league win over North Bend Central (North Bend, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, St. Paul falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Central City (Central City, NE) to battle the Bison in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 3. The Bison enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Central City won 6-4 in their recent non-league bout against Lakeview (Columbus, NE)
