Match Summary
Currituck County H.S. Lady Knights came out of the gates, taking the first set, 25-21 behind strong offensive play from Kayleigh Smith, Kamryn Johnson, Merritt Woodson, and Lauren Gerni. Defense looked to contain an hard hitting attack, and was able to sustain with blocks by Merritt Woodson, Isabella Hampton, and backcourt play from Austin Younger.
The second game was back and forth, with both teams holding leads throughout. Credit to S. Central for a well run offense, and strong defense.
The thrid and fourth games found CCHS fighting back, but was unable to overcome the defensive efforts of S.Central.
