January 3, 2019: Pierce, NE 68767 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Aquinas Monarchs (David City, NE) and the host Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE), saw Aquinas's basketball squad overcome Pierce by a tally of 47-27.
With the victory, Aquinas improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Twin River (Genoa, NE) to confront the Titans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 8. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Twin River won 52-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Madison (Madison, NE)
Next up, the Bluejays confront the Wayne Blue Devils (Wayne, NE) in a C1 District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 4. Pierce will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 55-52 non-league loss to Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Laurel, NE).
