Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 39-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Connersville upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Muncie Central (Muncie, IN) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 12. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 6-3.

Next up, the Trojans play the Greenfield-Central Cougars (Greenfield, IN) in a bout, on Thursday, January 10. New Castle will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
