The McAdory Yellowjackets (McCalla, AL) football defeated the visiting Hillcrest Patriots (Tuscaloosa, AL), 35-26 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets face the Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL) in a 6A Region 4 bout, on Friday, October 19. McAdory will attempt to move on its 8-0 season record. The Golden Gophers enter the bout with a 6-1 record after their 33-14 league win over Bessemer City (Bessemer, AL).

The Patriots (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Bryant (Cottondale, AL). The Stampede enter the 6A Region 4 bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Bryant was toppled by McAdory (McCalla, AL), 14-0, in a league bout.
