The North Rowan Cavaliers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Carson Cougars to 54 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lexington for a Central Carolina 2A contest on Tuesday, January 5. North Rowan will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 52-23 non-league loss to East Davidson (Thomasville, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-7.

The Cougars (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Ragin' Bulls enter the South Piedmont 3A contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Hickory Ridge ran past Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC), 64-61, in a non-league contest.
