The Cox Mill Chargers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Weddington Warriors to 48 in the Chargers non-league victory on Friday.

The Chargers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A contest on Tuesday, November 24. Cox Mill will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 64-40 non-league loss to North Stanly (New London, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-1.

The Warriors (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Ardrey Kell was defeated by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 57-55, in a non-league contest.
