Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Alhambra Lions (Phoenix, AZ), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Stampede now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sierra Linda for a 5A Metro challenge on Monday, March 4. Fairfax will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 21-8 non-league loss to Westview (Avondale, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Alhambra falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Hamilton (Chandler, AZ) to battle the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 6-2.
